Jerry found things. That was his thing. He didn't always understand what he'd found but he put it somewhere safe and remembered exactly where. If you asked Jerry about something he found ten years ago — he still knew exactly where it was.
He isn't the cleverest and he looks a little silly if you don't look closely. But he finds things nobody else is even looking for. And without Jerry nobody would have known there was something to find.
